Video of Gaelforce Connemara challenge 2010.

Over a stunning weekend in Co.Galway, myself and 2 of my brothers participated in Gaelforce Connemara.
The race was 31.5Km long and consisted of bog, hill & road running, track/road cycling, and kayaking.
About 800 people took part. It was tough but really very enjoyable. The weather was gorgeous and the event was well organised.
The most difficult part for me was coming off the kayak - and then straight into another run. I was soaking wet, and my legs were so cold and stiff. It took a long time to warm up again.
But I had it better than my brother Ciaran.
His bike got a blowout on the forest track. And then - as soon as that was repaired - he got another! That really cut his time (he would be expected to thrash me!)
My time? 2hrs 55min.
Not too bad.

Great video considering you were on the go all the time. What a day you got. It sure beat a wet and windy day. I can imagine the cold of Killary!! Now you are all set for the big one in the Autumn. Well done to you all. Poor Ciaran but better luck next time.

Well Done Colm - that's a fair achievement - great time too considering it took me two hours just to run half that distance on tarmac!
